Together, in a live session
The group reads aloud. Each person follows on their own phone or tablet and, when something catches their eye, marks it in two taps and rejoins the read. Speed is the point: catching back up has to be trivial.
On your own time
No session, no clock. Reviewers open the pages when they like and mark them at whatever depth the work deserves. One reviewer is enough, so it suits writer and editor pairs and solo authors too.
Both run on the same page, the same tags, and the same privacy model. The only difference is whether you are in the room together.

Is my work safe?
Manuscripts are confidential by design: nothing copies out of the reading surface, access is scoped so only your group sees your pages, and pages can expire so they don’t linger on anyone’s device. The honest caveat: no app stops a determined person with a second camera. The goal is that casual copying simply can’t happen.
Do I need a whole group?
The live read-aloud mode shines with a lead and a few readers. The on-your-own-time mode works with a single reviewer, so solo authors and writer and editor pairs are welcome too.
How is it different from a Google Doc?
Each reviewer gets a clean copy and sees only their own marks; the author flips between reviewers. The page reads like a manuscript, marking keeps pace with a live read, and your work stays private.
